A problem I want to address

It is with growing agitation that I started this new discussion.
I just want to thank you Kanard Rossi for making it even harder for Christians like myself, who have to clean up your muck and set things straight in non-Christian's minds, so that they will not be kept from at least acknowledging the goodness of Christ and what he has done and is still doing.

All of you know already of the strangeness of a fellow Christian Kanard Rossi, whoever he actually is....

I just want to say with much sincerety that I hope you do not let his annoying extremist ways taint how you view Christianity and Christians. I unfortunately cannot deny that there are Christians who are like him, some even worse. But if any of you have ever actually read and studied the Bible, you would understand that this character is lacking some essential characteristics of a true Christ Follower. I do believe he is trying and applaud him for doing so, but there are some distortions in his views, as well as there may even be some distortions in my own-- nobody is perfect. I won't go into all of the essentials he lacks, but I will state the two most obvious:

1. Peace
2. Love

I am not better than Kanard, for true Christians do not view themselves as higher than anyone. We believe we are equal, for we all are human and make mistakes. BUT, true Christians aim not to react in anger when provoked (but remember, we all make mistakes, and Christians are not perfect, either), and reply in honesty. True Christians are not better than "extremist" Christians, only more understanding of the message of the Bible and of Jesus Christ. There are many differences, which have sparked quite a lot of books-- so I won't get deep into the issue.

But I just wanted to make sure none of you let what he has said taint how you listen to me or any other Christians, because what we say may have more substance (as well as credibility) than what he has.

Very well said Amber. I really felt your sincerity. I may not be a "Christian", but I do repect other peoples beliefs and customs. I hope there's peace for all of us now that TBBT is about to start showing again.

More substance? More credibility?

As far as I know substance, and credibility sometimes have to be established by GOD. You might want to read about Elijah, at Mount Carmel. He was dealing with a group of people who just could not be convinced otherwise.

Until, that is, GOD HIMSELF established Eli's stance as " Having Credibility".

So ,maybe we will all just have to wait until the proverbial 'Prophets of Ba'al' are through with thier thing. And then GOD may INDISPUTABLY establish one or anothers credibility here.

Until then we will all have to wait.

But, when an answer comes ,I am sure we will all know.

but at least Elijah claimed to be Elijah. That is my point-- Elijah didn't beat around the bush or hide under a screen name to share God's word. Credibility comes from honesty, which you are lacking, since you are not telling the full truth. You could at least say, "I don't want to reveal who I am or where I am a professor for my own safety and privacy." People want to know if you are actually a professor, pastor, or just some chum with a lot of time to write about interesting subjects. Just admitting to one of these would establish more credibility, but you've probably already gone too far over the line to gain back respect from a majority of participants in these discussions.

Also, you react when people question your credibility. Your original ideas in discussions are interesting, and I am not criticizing those--- it is your reactions/replies that have agitated me. They have an angry, smart-allic tone. The substance of them has also given me, and others, reason to believe that maybe you aren't what you think you're portraying yourself as. As if you're trying to be big when you're not.

Credibility does come from God, but when I see replies from a "man of God" that resemble the true message of God, then maybe credibility will be established.

Hi Amber. The following is a reply I gave to Samuel Nathan Richards on the "Just another fun with creationism" discussion. He seemed to think that on the "Who is Prof. Kanard Rossi?" discussion that we were all just "bickering" - little does he know what KR is really like. I hope my reply gets across just how seriously I take this matter. Like you, I really believe that he could taint how others see you and other well meaning Christians. I'm glad that you have had the strength and moral courage to challenge him. This is what I wrote: "Hello, Samuel. I'm Andy, the guy who started the discussion on Mr. Rossi. I'm sorry that you haven't been able to get as clear a take on him as I have. You will find that he is vague about his identity and credentials (if he actually has any), that he has a nasty little superiority complex that becomes quite evident when you read his contributions, he overestimates his intellectual capacity in relation to what he believes in and is prone to interpreting God's purpose for himself in a way that conveniently elevates him to the status of self appointed preacher. While I have no doubt about his faith in God and his belief that Jesus is his personal saviour, he knows just how dangerous I think he is to other people, who may take him - and indeed, have taken him on previous occasions - as a disciplined, learned theologian who also has a wide and informed knowledge in certain issues related to physics. He is/has been sexist, chauvinistic, narcissistic, deceitful... honestly, the list just goes on. I don't think that he means to be as careless and self indulgent as he is, I just suspect that he wants to seen as something more than he actually is so that he can feel important in a life that may be chronically short of feelings of self esteem and respect from others. He has lashed anger at me (and I have no problem with that), he has challenged me, he has backed down and pretended that it was all an "act" in the first place, and now he is claiming that he won't make any further contributions to the whiteboard now that TBBT is back on the air. I'm not so sure. I'm not trying to beat him into some kind of submission in order to humiliate him, I just want him to know that I can't accept anyone trusting him to be something that he never was, because that is, quite simply, wrong. And if he thinks - as you might see from his exchanges with me - that we are locked in some kind of battle (which he likened at one stage to a tennis match where I was playing Roger Federer) then he is wrong again, because all that I want to come from this is the right to visit this whiteboard and not be played by someone who is okay with lying to me and others in order to feel important. Does that help?"

You forgot to mention......Master of Disaster, and King of Chaos in your title accusations of me.

But ,anyway, these things fall under "Wise as serpents, but harmless as doves".

Sometimes it is neccessary to endoctrinate these strategies in communication. So, quit making these insane accusations about me. To anyone reading this you just seem hellbent on contending.

I thought we came to a conclusion to that........

So let me re-iterate to the Spirit of Contention "The Lord Rebuke you".

And, again suggest that you read ALL of Kanard Rossi's posts, and THEN weigh them in the balance.

I don't need to read all of your waffle again, I only have to alert people to the parts that show you as a liar, a fantasist, an egomaniac, and a pseudo-intellectual. That is usually enough. If you want to, complain to the web hosts. I have nothing to fear, because I have the truth on my side, and I don't need to tell you or any other Christian how the Lord feels about lies, pride, and deceitfulness.
